Liza Maza of Gabriela Women’s Party today condemned the reported brutal killing of at least forty-four (44) people including seventeen (17) women and lawyers Cynthia Oquendo and Connie Brizuela who are both members of the National Union of People’s Lawyers (NUPL) in Maguindanao. They were among the group of more than 50 local politicians, journalists and lawyers allegedly abducted by several heavily armed men.  read more »
