Leaders in the recently concluded ASEAN meeting agreed that food security will be a great challenge for ASEAN as prices of food have continued to skyrocket. All week long prior to Labor Day, Malacanang spewed out press statements and news releases like they were carrots on a stick, hinting at positive gains for the workers.
