Officials, activists hit Cotabato City bombing

In another statement, Gabriela Partylist Rep. Liza Maza called for an immediate and independent investigation on the spate of bomb attacks in some parts of Mindanao and Metro Manila.

“Ordinary people are being killed and terrorized in these schemes. We do not want to think that these strings of bomb-related incidents are being orchestrated as a prelude for Malacanang to declare a State of Emergency and prolong Arroyo’s stay beyond 2010. The safety of our people should never be used as a “collateral damage” to serve for the power-hungry,” Maza said.
