Arroyo successor will have ‘to pick up pieces’

Gabriela party-list Representative Liza Maza, on the other hand, said Arroyo will be presenting “the same lies she peddled for seven to eight years.” She called on the President to step down.

Maza and allied party-list representatives will be boycotting Arroyo’s speech to protest her rule and the move to change the Constitution through a constituent assembly (Con-Ass). She asked people to attend the “people’s Sona” and other protest actions all over the country.

“Those who cannot join the protest actions may also express their anti-con-ass position in many ways, like lobbying your district representatives and senators to boycott con-ass if it convenes,” Maza said.
