There is clamor for GMA to pay for her crimes – Maza

“GMA must be held accountable for her crimes against the Filipino people. She must pay for her crimes of plunder and bloody record of human rights violations. Her impunity must end and we will make sure that she will not get off scot-free even if she wins a seat in Congress next year.”

This is the call of Rep. Liza Maza of Gabriela Women's Party today as she confuted claims of Malacañang spokespersons that there is a clamor for GMA to run as Congresswoman of the 2nd District of Pampanga.

“The real clamor of the people is justice. Nine years under Arroyo's rule have caused more havoc than all the super-typhoons combined. If we could only give her a title, that would be a Guinness world record's most destructive leader,” Maza said.

According to Maza, nothing is really new on GMA's bid for Congress since this serves as her last ace to continue clinging on to power after all her desperate moves to ammend the Constitution have been
thwarted.

“She may run for any public office and she may brush off all calls for her to resign, but she must remember that all eyes are on her now. We will never allow another 'Hello Garci' or any other forms of cheating,” Maza stressed.

Maza also warned the public to be more vigilant against all forms of fraud and violence and combat any schemes designed to serve the vested interests of those in power.###
