Gabriela Women’s Party sympathizes with Ces Delos Santos, mother of missing baby Gabriel, as it expresses alarm at the “kidnap my baby” angle brought about by the irresponsible statement of an official of Sta. Teresita Hospital .

This tendency to accuse the victim rather than direct all efforts for swift and fair investigation conveniently diverts the issue and exonerates Sta. Teresita Hospital from accountability.

Gabriela Rep. Emmi De Jesus immediately went to the victim’s house upon learning that Ces is seeking the support of Gabriela. Likewise, the Gabriela solon, together with Gabriela officers, also talked with Sta. Teresita Hospital spokesperson to get their side of the issue.

Dr. Joseph Tortona admitted that there is a security lapse on the part of the hospital. Gabriela said that any insinuation coming from the hospital regarding the staged kidnap of baby Gabriel should be retracted.

“After having a thorough conversation with Ces, we have enough reasons to believe that she is a victim and has no capacity to stage a plot at the expense of her child,” said Rep. Emmi De Jesus.
