“President Arroyo is the real nuisance candidate for the 2010 national elections. Hindi lamang siya panggulo, ginugulo niya mismo ang bayan.”
Thus said Rep. Liza Maza of Gabriela Women’s Party today as she slammed President Arroyo’s bid as Congresswoman of the second district of Pampanga and with Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita’s pronouncement that the amendment of the 1987 Constitution continues to be Arroyo’s top priority.
“Apparently, she is extremely desperate to push for charter change. This time, she’ll do the dirty work herself in her last chance to save her face. And her next move is for the prime ministership in order to keep her immune from all the cases that will be filed against her. She will do everything just to perpetuate herself to power,” Maza said.
Cases of massive human rights violations, graft and corruption, plunder, electoral fraud, among others will be filed against Arroyo as soon as her term expires in June 30, 2010.
Maza called on all Filipinos to frustrate Malacanang’s desperate schemes by uniting to prosecute President Arroyo on the very first day after her term ends.
“It is not the halls of Congress where President Arroyo belongs but in the courts where she will face the people’s wrath,” Maza said. ###
